Accu-Chek® Multiclix Finger Pricker

A unique finger pricker for virtually pain free testing

To help reduce the inconvenience and hassle of testing Accu-Chek has invented a finger pricker which is unlike conventional lancing devices. The Accu-Chek Multiclix uses an innovative drum containing six lancets which you don't have to handle ensuring that testing is safer and hygienic.

What’s more the drums can be disposed of in your household waste removing the worry of using a sharps bin.

Personalised comfort

With 11 depth settings on the Comfort Dial you can adjust the lancet depth to match your skin type and obtain just enough blood to provide an accurate test.

Patented Clixmotion technology

Clixmotion is the principle of dual-guided lancet motion meaning that both the forward and return motion of the lancet is precisely controlled without vibrations and oscillations. This special motion is the key to gentle blood sampling.

Precisely manufactured lancets

Specially designed Accu-Chek lancets are the result of exhaustive research.  The special cut of the lancet and its smooth, polished surface mean that skin penetration is virtually friction-free and especially gentle.

Self contained lancet drums

By housing 6 lancets in a self-contained drum there is no longer the need to handle or even see the lancets themselves. Simply load the drum into the end of the finger-pricker and away you go. When you’re finished remove the drum from the device and dispose of with your household waste.

Accu-Chek Multiclix is supplied as part of the Accu-Chek Aviva and Accu-Chek Aviva Nano blood glucose systems in ROI. In the UK, the FastClix Finger Pricker is supplied with these systems.

Safety Advice: The Accu-Chek Multiclix finger pricker is intended patient self-monitoring by an individual person only. It must not used to collect blood in a multipatient setting as it does not incorporate any features to guard against cross infection.

How to Use

How to Handle the Device

To change the drum, grasp the cap by the notch and remove it from the device. Insert a new drum—blue ring first—until it snaps into place. Replace the cap on the device. The first lancet is ready to use. Use the comfort dial to adjust penetration depth. To prime the device press the priming plunger down like a pen, as far as it will go. The release button turns yellow when the lancing device is ready. Place the device firmly against the side of the fingertip or alternate site, and click the release button to lance.

Please note: The first drop of blood can be used for glucose monitoring.

How to Advance to a New Lancet

When you insert of new drum, there is a scale with 5 white bars, indicating 5 lancets in reserve. A new lancet can be chosen by twisting the priming plunger. When you twist the plunger back, the number of white bars decreases by one.

How to Use the AST Cap

Remove the blue cap from the lancing device. Attach the clear plastic AST cap, and twist the dial until you reach your chosen setting. Prime the lancing device, and place the AST cap firmly against the selected site. Press the release button to lance.
