Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need an adapter? Why isn't Bluetooth® inbuilt into the Accu-Chek Mobile meter?

We wanted to offer Bluetooth® connectivity to our existing Accu-Chek Mobile meter users without them having to purchase a new meter.

Is the data transfer from the Accu-Chek Mobile meter to the PC via micro USB port still possible?

Yes, as the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter can be removed and re-attached easily, data can still be downloaded to the Accu-Chek Smart Pix software or device reader via a standard micro-USB-cable.

Does the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter remain plugged into the meter or should I remove it?

The Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter can stay plugged into the USB port of the Accu-Chek Mobile meter.

Can I still check my blood glucose with one hand?

Yes, due to the lean design of the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter the Accu-Chek Mobile meter can still be used easily with one hand.

Why does the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter need an extra battery?

An extra battery for the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter is used to make sure that the wireless transfer of blood glucose results does not shorten the battery life of the Accu-Chek Mobile meter.

How long will the coin cell battery last?

The coin cell battery that is used in the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter can last at least 3 months with 5 transmissions per day, depending on the ambient conditions.

How often is data transferred to the mySugr app?

Data is not transferred automatically. The data is only transferred when the user presses the on/off button of the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter. All stored results which have not been transmitted so far will then be transferred automatically to the mySugr app.

How close does the Accu-Chek Mobile meter and the smartphone have to be for data to be transferred to the mySugr app?

Please make sure that the distance between the Accu-Chek Mobile and smartphone is not more than 1 meter.

Can I use any smartphone?

All smartphones with a standard BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connectivity can be used. Smartphones with Android version 4.4 or higher and iOS version 10.3 and higher are compatible.

After the data is transferred to the mySugr app, is the data still stored in the meter?

Yes, data remains stored in the meter as well. Up to 2,000 results can be stored in the meter. Once 2,000 glucose results are in the memory, adding a new result causes the oldest one to be deleted from the meter's memory.

Why is the use of the Accu-Chek Mobile wireless adapter limited to the mySugr app?

We wanted to offer one unique compatible solution for people with diabetes all around the world. This allows us to always provide the latest version of updates to our customers.
